A few milestones from my journey—moments that shaped me into who I am today.
1999 — Born in Nepal
I was born in a small, remote village in Nepal where electricity wasn’t guaranteed. On the days we had power for four hours, it felt like a festival. Growing up in an environment with limited resources taught me to value opportunities deeply — especially anything related to learning.
2007 — First Computer
When I was eight, my uncle brought home a desktop computer. We had no internet, but the moment I touched the keyboard I was hooked. I clicked everything I could find — menus, settings, hidden folders. That computer became my favourite place to be, even if I only had a few hours of electricity to use it each day.
Becoming the Village IT Guy
As my curiosity grew, so did my skills. Without realising it, I became the “IT support” for the entire village. If someone’s computer froze or wouldn’t start, they came to me — a kid with no training, just passion.
I didn’t understand what “IT support” meant back then. I just loved solving problems.
2018-Studying IT in Australia
Following my passion, I applied for the Bachelor of Information Technology at Federation University Australia. Getting accepted — and receiving a 15% scholarship — was a proud moment for me and my family. It felt like the world I had dreamed about as a kid was finally within reach.
2018-The Reality: Surviving in Australia
When I arrived, everything felt more difficult than expected. The cost of living, rent, tuition fees, and daily life expenses were overwhelming. My family wanted to help, but it wasn’t possible for them to support everything from Nepal.
I began working in restaurants — starting with casual shifts as a waiter, just trying to survive while juggling my studies.
2020-More Hours, More Shifts, More Pressure
Slowly, things changed. I was offered more hours, then overtime, then full-time availability. I said yes to almost everything because more hours meant more money — and money was survival.
But the more I worked, the more I drifted away from my IT education. I missed lectures, skipped assignments, and eventually stopped thinking about IT altogether.
2021-The Promotion That Changed My Path
My work ethic was noticed, and I was eventually offered a managerial role. I accepted it because it felt like progress — and it was. I learned leadership, operations, teamwork, customer management, and everything in between.
But slowly, without realising it, I drifted even further from my IT dream. I wasn’t just off-track; I had completely left the path.
2025-Wake up call and new beginning
In late October 2025, I paused and looked at my journey. I realised how far I had drifted away from the world that once defined me — technology. That moment hit me hard.
I knew I couldn’t continue ignoring my passion. So I made a decision:
I would return to IT. Fully, seriously, and with determination.
I enrolled in the Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) to rebuild my technical foundation and restart the journey I began as a child.
Today, I’m restarting my IT journey from a place of strength, maturity, and experience. I’m not beginning from zero — I’m beginning with everything I’ve learned from life, leadership, operations, and survival.
Now, I’m committed to building a meaningful career in IT and making the most of every opportunity that comes my way.
Let’s Build Something Together
